The Difference between Insanity and Persistence
October 5, 2015Birthing the Purposes of God
January 17, 2016I love to write! Communication through the written word is a powerful way to teach, encourage, and inspire.
I have written three books and hundreds of articles…but in 2015 I didn’t write a whole lot. Whether it was circumstances, schedule, or just lack of discipline, my blog was not kept up with and I did not write any books.
As 2016 begins, I’m feeling like its time to “pick up the pen” again. I will be writing more frequently on my blog, and plan to publish at least one book this year (hopefully more!).
New Book Project
I have a list of many books that I plan to write some day, but it can be a struggle to know what book to focus on and get done. As 2016 began, I feel that I got a clear direction from the Lord to write a book called Discovering Your Destiny. I plan to have it published within the first six months of the year.
Discovering Your Destiny will be a book about finding and walking in your God-given purpose. God has a calling for each one of us. He not only saves us, but He sets us on the path of His destiny for us.
Ephesians 2:8-10 says:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Although we are not saved by works, we are saved for works. We are “His workmanship” and God has specific things for us to walk in. God is simultaneously preparing us for works and preparing works for us. He molds and shapes each of us in a specific way for a specific purpose.
Discovering Your Destiny will outline the biblical principles for how to discover your calling. There is no formula for walking in your purpose, but there are tools you can be equipped with to understand how God leads us into destiny.
This book will highlight the importance of relationship with God, and how out of that relationship comes identity and destiny. It will show the “clues” that God gives us for the journey and the process that God leads us through in preparing us for His works. I am excited to write and release it!
Stay tuned in 2016 for regular articles from my blog, and watch for Discovering Your Destiny to be released this year!
