Sermon: Knowing God by Experience

I recently preached a message on the importance of knowing God by experience. In John 17:3 Jesus gives a definition of eternal life: “And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Notice that eternal life is not just about going to heaven when we die; it is about knowing God.

We are not just meant to learn things about God. We are meant to know Him personally and by actual experience. While experience is not the foundation of our doctrine, it is a vital part of our relationship with the Lord. When we encounter God, we know that He is real. And no one can take away your personal experience with God!
