When Israel faced their first battle after leaving Egypt, Joshua went to fight on the battlefield, while Moses went on a mountain to lift his hands in prayer. As long as Moses’ hands were lifted to the Lord, Israel would win the battle (see Exodus 17:8-13). This story teaches us some important truths about the value of prayer.
God works on earth through His people–He has ordained it to be that way. And one of the primary ways that God works through His people is in the place of prayer and intercession. There are many purposes of prayer, and this message highlights how prayer partners with God to see His purposes fulfilled on earth. Check it out below!
