“For by grace you have been saved…” (Ephesians 2:8). The grace of God changes everything. It brings us into a right relationship with God, freeing us from relating to Him on the basis of law. It removes condemnation and guilt.
But grace is not merely a cover for sin; it empowers us to overcome sin. It changes us on the inside and produces the character of Christ in us.
The story of the woman caught in adultery in John 8 is a great illustration of the power of grace. It shows the difference between law and grace and what the grace of God does in our lives.
